My main research questions for the project that sum up my focus are:
- Why does the media disregard the significance of these issues?
- How can we effectively create awareness of these issues through social media and captivating words and images?
- What are the effects and solutions to these issues?
These questions provide the overall idea of my project and what I want to accomplish with the end product, which is spreading knowledge about lesser known issues and helping people interested and affected.
This past week, I completed five annotated sources and started to collect research from the sources to build my website. I am still in the process of figuring out how I want to organize my website, so until I complete that, I will be putting my research in different documents so I can manage it easily.
This upcoming week, I plan to finish at least one tab on my website, and start to gather resources on the “Get Involved” category so I can fill those in. I will also keep trying to figure out how to do certain actions on WordPress that I want to include on my website, including articles about the issues from other sources that would be useful to people looking at the site.
