Purpose Project Blog Post #7

April 3rd, 2019

The feedback I got from Mr. Heidt’s former students helped significantly in terms of the content of my project. I feel that I did a more adequate job presenting this time because I was more prepared and had more progress to show along with my idea. Some of the feedback I got was regarding the amount of detail I included. They explained that I needed to be more specific about the project, add more details about what my goal is and how I got started, and expand my word choice to create a better sense of urgency. I also received some helpful suggestions for when I present my TED talk, which were to include a survivor’s story about their experience to make the project seem more personal. This made me think more about my final presentation and what I am going to talk about during the time I have. I plan to use all of this constructive criticism towards making my project even better and presenting it by representing it in the best way. Right now, I am making significant progress with my research and managing my website and Twitter. I’m currently posting resources on Twitter that I find to help build my social media presence.
